Sõller House
A contemporary and thoughtful reimagination of a former artist’s residence, Sõller is a design-led family home that borrows from both modern Mediterranean and Palm Springs design styles.
Designed by Studio Workshop Design Group, the four-bedroom, two-level family home is tucked away in a leafy pocket of the coastal locale of Burleigh Heads but is very much inspired by the laidback European lifestyle – with a dash of Palm Springs cool.
Seamlessly connecting the indoors and out, Sõller celebrates open-plan living, natural materials, soft earthy colour palettes and simple yet refined spaces.
The archways at the exterior entryway pay homage to the charming original residence, while the large void adds drama and ample sunlight to the living space.
The Palm Springs-inspired pool landscape and entertaining area is ideal for long alfresco lunches and basking in Queensland’s sub-tropical weather.
Three Balls Red supplied six types of tiles – including Calais cream cork and Verona Perla Honed Italian tiles – as well as the sage green vanity, Bamboo Shell pendants, Arch Mirrors, the Moby wall light in brass, Scandi Luxe hooks in American Oak and the Nude Arc Basin by Concrete Nation for this truly beautiful renovation project.
With international DJ Fisher as the face of the brand and a slew of creative and larger-than-life ambassadors, Hard Fizz has a ‘don’t-take-life-too seriously’ ethos which is reflected in the colourful and kitsch interiors of their seltzer brewery, retail store and offices which brings back 1980s nostalgia.
The former factory space – tucked away in the hip industrial pocket of Burleigh Heads neighbouring Miami - has been brilliantly reimagined by Zero 9 Constructions with interior design by new boutique studio, The Design Hookup, and special planning by Space Cubed Design Studio.
The Design Hookup’s lead designer Renee Britton used a pop reference from a brand book of Justin Heit of Californian-based studio, Libre Design, and went as ‘loud and fun’ as her team could imagine.
The youthful space features a bright purple bar, Soktas lighting, custom neon and vinyl wallpaper by Digital Squid, some very Instagramable bathrooms featuring cheeky punchlines on the walls and pop culture references throughout.
Three Balls Red supplied all of the tiles, which included Venice Graphite, a grey terrazzo-style tile, for this fun neighbourhood hot spot.
