Ohana Beach House

Tucked away in the coveted coastal residential pocket of Koala Park, a stone’s throw from Tallebudgera Creek and Burleigh Heads National Park, is the dreamy Ohana Beach House.

Originally a 1960s single storey beach shack, the existing dwelling was knocked down so Gold Coast builder Paul Harms of PJH Constructions and Bianca Gemmill of BCG Building Design could create a new two-storey modern lifestyle beach house.

Named Ohana, the Hawaiian word for family, the goal was to design and build a spacious, open-plan coastal family home with separate living spaces to accommodate the owner’s large extended family, and include entertaining areas for the family to come together and connect. With its earthy colour palette, breezeways, arches, cathedral ceilings and private resort-style pool and entertaining area, Ohana Beach House is an idyllic destination in itself while international travel plans have been put on hold. The Three Balls Red team were thrilled to work on such a bespoke and high-quality family home, built to the highest standards.
