Marlin Villas
Aaron Wilson’s restaurants are known for their design-led fit outs so it’s hardly surprising that the Ze Pickle co-founder’s own family home oozes contemporary cool.
Designed by architect Shane Denman and built by Alroe Constructions, the three-level, four-bedroom luxury villa blends a brutalist aesthetic with tropical softness.
Located on a canal in the coastal suburb of Palm Beach, Wilson and wife Georgia opted for a mixture of raw materials such as concrete and blackbutt timber as well as striking imported Indonesian Sukabumi Stone, used in the pool and bathrooms.
Three Balls Red was thrilled to supply the industrial-style Varese Cenere Matt Floor tiles – 600 x 1200 – for this intelligently-designed home.
With international DJ Fisher as the face of the brand and a slew of creative and larger-than-life ambassadors, Hard Fizz has a ‘don’t-take-life-too seriously’ ethos which is reflected in the colourful and kitsch interiors of their seltzer brewery, retail store and offices which brings back 1980s nostalgia.
The former factory space – tucked away in the hip industrial pocket of Burleigh Heads neighbouring Miami - has been brilliantly reimagined by Zero 9 Constructions with interior design by new boutique studio, The Design Hookup, and special planning by Space Cubed Design Studio.
The Design Hookup’s lead designer Renee Britton used a pop reference from a brand book of Justin Heit of Californian-based studio, Libre Design, and went as ‘loud and fun’ as her team could imagine.
The youthful space features a bright purple bar, Soktas lighting, custom neon and vinyl wallpaper by Digital Squid, some very Instagramable bathrooms featuring cheeky punchlines on the walls and pop culture references throughout.
Three Balls Red supplied all of the tiles, which included Venice Graphite, a grey terrazzo-style tile, for this fun neighbourhood hot spot.
