TBR Project: Breathe Performance Recovery

Three friends’ shared passion for interior architecture and holistic health sparked the creation of Breathe Performance, a new design-led sports recovery and wellness space in Arundel at the northern end of the Gold Coast.

"We wanted to combine the beauty of a bathhouse with the functionality of a performance recovery centre," says Kassiah Miller.

"Julia [Serrier] has a deep love for wellness and the recovery space, Asha [Wilson] has a background in medicine and a passion for interiors and I have a background in interior architecture, holistic health and a love of business.

"Selfishly, we wanted Breathe to be the space we were all searching for.”

Two years later, Breathe Performance has just opened its doors and is a space that is both welcoming and highly functional.

"We were very intentional about the way we designed the space," Kassiah explains. “We wanted Breathe to feel timeless, balanced and deeply considered.

”They aimed for a non-polarising aesthetic, avoiding extremes of masculine and feminine."

The result is an inviting environment featuring earthy tones such as warm neutral tiles, forest greens, rusty pinks, with brass, gunmetal and bronze finishes.

Kassiah says a standout feature is the cafe and bathrooms, featuring striking green tiles from Three Balls Red, which contribute to the overall sense of understated luxury and tranquility.

Beyond aesthetics, Breathe offers healing hot and cold plunges, infrared treatments, reformer-based movement conditioning, and a wellness cafe for the ultimate reset.

Three Balls Red was thrilled to contribute to this stunning project, supplying the tiles that help define Breathe's unique design. We can’t wait to plunge and relax!

With thanks
