Positioned on a large north-facing block on Burleigh Lake, VELA epitomises the relaxed yet luxurious southern Gold Coast lifestyle.
Designed by Jayson Pate Design and meticulously built by Burleigh Constructions with interiors by Culina Design Group, this five-bedroom, four-bathroom family home is tucked away in one of Burleigh Heads’ most desirable pockets and yet is only a short stroll away from the beach, bars and restaurants the locale is renowned for.
Described by Jayson as ‘contemporary yet timeless,’ VELA boasts a thoughtful combination of materials which helps create texture, warmth and character.
He lists the two-storey home’s striking façade, the double height void over the living area that floods the living spaces with natural light, the interior finishes, the lighting selection and landscape design as some of the key architectural and design features.
“The clients were amazing and gave my team and I complete creative license,” Jayson tells TBR. “The complimentary interiors by Culina Design Group, and seamless construction process with a high level of finish by Burleigh Constructions - I couldn’t be prouder of the entire team.”
Having celebrated 15 years in the industry this year, Burleigh Constructions director David Brazenall says VELA is one of their most rewarding projects to date.
He says the highly-speced landscaping by JSW Landscapes & Design, the silver wattle Knotwood battens used on the exterior, the large full-tiled pool and spa with a naked system for filtration and garade facade and Tunda-honed natural stone used in the bathrooms and supplied by Three Balls Red are some of his favourite defining features.
Three Balls Red was proud to work with the VELA team and supply the Tundra stone, dark green finger mosaic tiles and Italian dark green subway tiles for this very special project, which we know the clients will enjoy for many years to come.
