Cutting-edge technology, thoughtful design and good vibes were the order of the night when Three Balls Red and Left Bank Art Group hosted an intimate Meet the Maker event at TBR HQ on July 20.

Leading interior designers such as Bree Allen from Poppy Design, Di from Di Challinor Design and The Raunik Design Group as well as clients and design lovers gathered for wine and grazing platters as TBR’s creative director and founder, Jasmine Dowthwaite, introduced Left Bank’s Toby Simm, who spoke about their revolutionary Australian-first textile printing capabilities.

After more than 30 years in fine art printing, framing and artist representation, Left Bank has expanded their highly-respected business to include the exclusive new fabric printer, which allows their expert team to print digital artwork onto a huge range of surfaces such as linen, cottons and most natural poly-based fabrics.

This allows clients to customise their cushions, linen and lamp shades with unique artwork for bespoke appeal.

“This is a completely new business for us and it is really exciting,” says Toby.

“We have definitely noticed clients rejecting going offshore or opting for mass produced pieces and moving towards custom products.

"This printing is also appealing as we offer short run, on-demand, digital printing. We only print what we need so it is sustainable, too."

Left Bank also offers another unique printing service with their HP Flat Bed Printer able to print digital artwork onto tiles up to 2.5m wide.

TBR’s Jasmine Dowthwaite says she’s proud to partner with innovators and artisans like the Simms family.

"Left Bank are true masters of their field,” she says. “They are so invested in and passionate about what they do and we have always loved working with them.“

"This new technology is revolutionary for us and our clients and the Gold Coast’s design scene.”
