Here at Three Balls Red HQ, we are bursting with inspiration and a desire to revamp our interiors to mark the return to normality after a tumultuous few years, the start of the warmer months, and the world’s rekindled love affair with colour.
From bold yellows, pinks and greens to aqua and purples, bright blasts of colour have made a comeback for interiors in time for spring - and the TBR design team couldn’t be happier. We recently shot our spring campaign at out new favourite space - Sun House Studio - which was one of our most playful yet.
A warm and inviting hue, lilac is certainly having its moment in 2022. A feminine alternative to grey, this calming colour injects character and energy to any space and is popping up in bedrooms and bathrooms across the globe. Architectural concrete company Nood Co. have released a lilac range of bespoke basins in a range of styles. Three Balls Red creative director, Jasmine Dowthwaite suggests pairing lilac with white or wood tones so it won’t date or add just a pop of purple through furniture, art or mirrors.
"As we flourish back to the world from many rains, a long winter and a global pandemic, now is the time to feel inspired with a world full of spirit, life and colour.”
- Stylist Jen Baz
Tapware company ABI have injected some playful hues in their range so clients can introduce soft pops of colour into their kitchens and bathrooms.
Following a sombre few years, there is certainly a new optimism, with positive and cheerful colours such as yellows, blues and greens infiltrating homes through mirrors, cushions, artwork, lighting and rugs.
“This shift really does signal a new optimism,” says Dowthwaite. “Clients are ready to have some fun with interiors and breathe new life into their spaces."
